Work closely with your fellow CRD Members from across the country on the FFTF and make the most of your travel dollars by extending your stay—and your experience—in Washington this November! The FFTF gives new and seasoned members alike the chance to visit with federal representatives and advocate for the essential role our institutions can play as drivers of their evolving priorities in challenging economic times. As you work hard to update CRD's annual Federal Funding to Two-Year Colleges report (now a live WIKI) you will also get invaluable insights into federal operations, the new funding outlook, and benefit from amazing strengths and knowledge of your fellow teammates!

FFTF Participants have the opportunity to:

  • Advocate for funding for community colleges
  • Network with colleagues
  • Build relationships with agency program officers

Participation is limited to sixty members and is based on first come, first served. Registrants who register after 60 volunteers have been confirmed will be placed on a waiting list, and will be contacted to participate should an opening occur. As a Task Force member, you will be assigned to two or three teams.  Debriefing sessions will be held at the end of each day for FFTF members only.

Maximize your travel dollars and attend both the Federal Funding Task Force and the Annual Conference together.   The annual conference dates are November 7-9, 2013.

We look forward to seeing many of you in November!

Ellen Noguera Hill, 2013 FFTF Chair
Heather Layton, 2013 FFTF Co-chair

Thanks for participating in the conference call last week. The attached document is a stripped down version of what we submitted for the 2011 board report. I’m not sure if the board has an actual template for 2012 goals, so started drafting this for our own use. For now, let’s feel free to modify and make as user friendly to us as possible. Basically comes down to:

1)      Financial goal is to bring in $20,000 in revenue

2)      How many webinars are we aiming to offer? 18-20?

3)      How many registered participants? 267-300?

4)      How many sponsored webinars/revenue from Sponsors? 3-5 sponsors at $1000?

5)      And Stretch goal of testing innovative use of webinar tools- more on this later on. – Stephenie’s comment on Tech Soup and seeing about discounted use of Goto Webmeeting
