CRD offers a variety of social media tools including a Facebook page with discussion area for online discussions, a Twitter feed and LinkedIn, all designed to help you connect instantly with other members online.
Submit articles for the Dispatch, publish a Resource Paper, send job openings to the Listserv, and receive instant national exposure.
This web-based publication (published three times annually) reports trends, issues, activities, advice, and practices in seeking grants and fundraising to enable CRD members to better serve their colleges.
A collection of current research and resource papers directly related to community college fundraising, are available to you, with new works published periodically for the membership.
Federal Funding to Two Year Colleges Report
CRD annually publishes a report that summarizes federal categorical aid program awards to two-year colleges. Reports are available thru the FFTF Wiki, a member-only benefit. If you want a copy of the report, there is a cost for a digitized pdf.
Information on pending legislation that may impact community colleges and alerts regarding new or unusual funding sources are disseminated regularly. CRD emails a weekly NewsScan full of the information most important to you; no web-browsing or paper-skimming necessary.
Generous Discounts on Conferences & Events
Every autumn, CRD sponsors a national conference with keynote speakers, sessions, workshops, and roundtable discussions. It kicks off with the Federal Funding Task Force followed by the Executive Institute for Fundraising Leadership, CFRE Content Review course and intensive Pre-Conference sessions. National conferences provide an excellent opportunity to connect with others who share your interests and professional concerns.
Special Topic Conferences
CRD hosts conferences throughout the year at various locations around the country focusing on current topics and issues.
CRD webinars bring cost-effective, convenient learning opportunities right to your office. They are offered numerous times throughout the year.
Professional Development Scholarships
These help offset the cost of attending conferences and Specialist Training. Scholarships are provided by CRD Regions and scholarship funds put in place by program alumni.

Volunteer for CRD
CRD's strength lies in the roots of our organization: our members develop, implement, and deliver the training and programming for each other, thereby ensuring the relevancy and immediacy of content. We ask you often to share your knowledge and skills with your peers, to participate in the organization and governance of CRD and to take leadership roles.
The annual national conference has a hundred opportunities for speaking: from volunteering to present a session at the conference to moderating roundtables.
CRD Lifetime Service Award
The CRD Lifetime Service Award recognizes persons who have made extraordinary contributions to the Council for Resource Development through service to CRD at the national, regional and state levels. This award carries with it lifetime membership in the Council.
CRD Campus Impact Awards
The CRD Campus Impact Awards recognize the efforts of individuals or tetams that have made a significant positive impact on a community college and/or the student it serves. There are no restrictions on the types of activities that qualify for consideration (e.g., successful advocacy, writing grants, donor solicitation, developing business partnerships. There are four categories for consideration: Grants Professional, Private Fundraising Individual, Non-Development Professional, and Volunteer.

Our offices in are available for your use during your visits to Washington, DC. A small conference room is available, as well as a workstation with computer access.
