Joy Wohl LeCuyer joined CRD in 1994 and participated actively in Region VI and national CRD events. She became membership chair for Region VI in 1998, Regional Director-elect in 1999, and Director of Region VI in 2000. Joy held four CRD Vice Presidencies: Regional Services 2001, Annual/National Conference 2002, Programs 2003, and Finance 2005; she also chaired Senior Symposium in 2004. She served as Interim Executive Director of CRD in 2007, and received the Lifetime Service Award in that year. Joy was asked to coordinate the initial phases of the CRD Capital Campaign and chose to establish this endowment as a lead gift with a $10,000 pledge to culminate with CRD's 50th National Conference.
Funds will be used to award a scholarship to a member to attend the national conference.
Membership in CRD provides BSC college advancement staff with the private and public fundraising expertise to make exciting things happen on our campus: National Energy Center of Excellence, Bismarck Parks and Rec state-of-the-art Aquatics Center, and the technology labs in the Career Academy – partnerships that start local and extend global.
