CRD provides professional development to its members throughout the year. See some of our programs below for 2013 and you can decide which one you would like to particpate in as a sponsor. These opportunities give you a chance to be in front of CRD members in a collegial and educational atmosphere.

Affiliate Member-Become a member of CRD though our Affiliate Membership. This gives you the benefits as CRD members, except for voting rights. Membership runs January 1st, through December 31st.

Webinars-These allow our members from across the country to hear presenters, speakers and experts discuss and inform on various topics all while in front of their computer at work, at home or wherever they happen to be. Each webinar is 75 minutes long unless otherwise noted. This is an opportunity for you to get your product or service in front of our attendees. You can underwite an entire series or just sponsor one webinar; plus, you can even place an ad during a webinar. Take advantage of a captive audience while letting our participants know about you and how you can help them do their job.

Community College Resource Development Bootcamp-Formerly called Community College Resource Development Specialist Training, the two-week program immerses participants in rigorous experience in resource development operations, organization, and issues at a model campus, as well as exploration of funding opportunities for two-year colleges from public and private sources. Interns will increase knowledge and expertise in private funding vehicles, acquire expertise in proposal writing and grants management, and identify funding sources appropriate to their colleges. The program focuses on the value of a comprehensive resource development program which integrates and leverages public, private and partnership funding opportunities. Interns may attend one or both weeks.

Alumni Development Workshop-There's a reason why alumni programs are the fastest growing segment in community college development! Simply put, alumni are loyal because they value their community college experience and are ready to give back. While many community colleges are just beginning to cultivate their alum's, sufficient experience now exists to share best practices and strategies for success. Participants will learn the "nuts and bolts" of alumni development along with special attention to adapting proven practices for use at home.

Major Gifts and Planned Giving Workshop-Seasoned development professionals know that the real money lies in major gifts and that panned giving will reap rewards long into the future. Community colleges have played in the major gifts arena sufficiently long to have achieved notable success and there is much to be learned from the success of our peers. This workshop will open with a common overview of major gift development and planned giving and then break into two tracks specific to each. The fast-paced sessions will begin with the basics and quickly move on to advanced strategies. The presenters will then focus on adopting and adapting "best practices" to be implemented at the participant's home institution.

Presidents Fundraising Academy-The 12th annual CRD Presidents Fundraising Academy is of, by and for community college CEO's and aspiring community college CEO's. This academy gives you the chance to learn from people who share and understand the pressures you face. They will help you build, enhance and refine a fundraising program that bolsters your community college. This is an excellent introductory opportunity for relatively new presidents or aspiring presidents, or an excellent opportunity to refine your institutional advancement program.

47th Annual National Conference-The annual conference turns 47 in 2013. Can you believe it? There's no doubt you need to be a part of it. This professional development conference brings together over 500+ resource development professionals from across the country and Canada, in one place for indepth sessions, networking, meeting with potential vendors whose services and products will help them do their jobs, along with some fun activities, dynamic keynote speakers, benefactors who are dedicated to community colleges and peers who are recognized for the work they do for their campus.
